Murdoch Building

The Murdoch Building at Forbes and Coltart is the first commercial office space to be newly built in Oakland in nearly a decade. Certified as LEED Gold for Core and Shell, the building provides a high-quality workplace through an energy-efficient building envelope, efficient and controllable HVAC and lighting systems, and indoor air quality management.

The Bridge on Forbes

Located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Central Oakland neighborhood, the Bridge on Forbes fills a gap in the local student housing market. The LEED Gold building provides furnished student apartments in a dense corridor with a walkable setting.

Reflections Upon Greenbuild 2021

Having attended all annual Greenbuild conferences to date, Marc Mondor is a seasoned veteran in the industry. Here he shares his reflections on this year's conference and where the movement is headed.

Hazelwood Green

With leadership from evolveEA, Hazelwood Green is transforming into a low carbon development with aggressive energy, water, waste, and transportation goals, compliant with 2030 and P4 targets, and is to be certified under LEED for Neighborhood Development.

U.S. Steel Tower WELL Health-Safety Rating

The US Steel Tower is managed by Winthrop Management, who has been working with evolveEA since 2013 to incrementally retrofit systems and improve operations. The US Steel Tower achieved LEED V4 Silver Certification under the Operations + Maintenance (O+M): Existing Buildings rating system in 2019. One of the most unique aspects of this effort has been the Tenant Sustainability Committee created by Winthrop with help from evolveEA, which meets quarterly to collaborate on green initiatives for the whole building, with tenants and management leveraging each other's efforts.
