Will Bernstein
With extensive experience at the intersection of the public and private sectors, working with state and local governments to advance sustainability and economic development goals, and bringing private investment to local community development and climate action, Will Bernstein is committed to building sustainable, just, and livable communities through public policy, local action, and multi-sector partnerships.Â
He has been engaged in economic- and community-development, and sustainability work in the Pittsburgh region for nearly 20 years. He has worked directly to implement local climate action plans, led a regional effort to accelerate and finance sustainable infrastructure, and leveraged business investment to support neighborhood-scale community development organizations.
Will holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and American History from Brown University and a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University. He is a long-serving board member of his neighborhood community development organization, and can usually be found biking around the city with his children.
