Kathryn Schlesinger
Kathryn Schlesinger is a Project Manager in evolveEA’s Mobility Studio, where she brings a people-first, data-driven approach to mobility, land use, and infrastructure planning. A proud transit nerd who lives car-free by choice, Kathryn combines lived experience with more than a decade of project management across public and private sectors throughout Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. Her work focuses on advancing equitable transportation solutions that improve quality of life, strengthen connectivity, and position communities to secure transformative local, state, and federal funding opportunities.
Her project experience spans multimodal transportation planning, corridor safety, transit access, public realm activation, and implementation strategy. Kathryn helped lead the Pittsburgh Pedestrian Wayfinding Project, securing federal TAP funding and guiding the visioning, safety analysis, design, and implementation strategy for Pittsburgh’s first pedestrian-focused wayfinding system. She also coordinated the successful CMAQ funding application for Allegheny County’s three Transportation Management Associations, advancing active transportation and infrastructure initiatives across the region.
Kathryn holds a Master of Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University and was the recipient of the 2020 Pittsburgh Chapter Leadership Legacy Scholarship for Graduates from the Women’s Transportation Seminar. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and History, along with a GIS Certificate, from University of Pittsburgh.
