James Hollister

James is passionate about creating a more thoughtful, just, and sustainable world and has spent nearly 15 years marketing the value and creativity of forward-thinking design firms, planners, and architects throughout the country.
A graduate of Susquehanna University, James holds a double BA in Art History and Modern Languages with an emphasis in Cultural Anthropology. He was one of the first marketing professionals in the A/E/C industry to earn LEED Accreditation in 2008 and has played an active role in shaping internal policies and operational paradigms of his employers to create a more sustainable approach to “business as usual.”
A historic preservation advocate, photographer, cyclist, political junkie, and urban explorer, James spends his free time cycling Pittsburgh’s extensive rails-to-trails network, restoring his 1912 home, and volunteering as a board member/advisor to local non-profits in the Pittsburgh region.
