Reflections Upon Greenbuild 2021

Hazelwood Green

With leadership from evolveEA, Hazelwood Green is transforming into a low carbon development with aggressive energy, water, waste, and transportation goals, compliant with 2030 and P4 targets, and is to be certified under LEED for Neighborhood Development.

U.S. Steel Tower WELL Health-Safety Rating

The US Steel Tower is managed by Winthrop Management, who has been working with evolveEA since 2013 to incrementally retrofit systems and improve operations. The US Steel Tower achieved LEED V4 Silver Certification under the Operations + Maintenance (O+M): Existing Buildings rating system in 2019. One of the most unique aspects of this effort has been the Tenant Sustainability Committee created by Winthrop with help from evolveEA, which meets quarterly to collaborate on green initiatives for the whole building, with tenants and management leveraging each other's efforts.

A New Milestone for the U.S. Steel Tower

With LEED Gold certification of four more floors by UPMC Health Plan at US Steel Tower, and Winthrop Management's previous LEED O+M certification, the Downtown Pittsburgh office building is a leader in sustainability and energy efficiency.
