It’s summer and we are excited to introduce you to the talented interns working at evolveEA. Please welcome Tamuna Cherkezishvili and Sushruti Santhanakrishnan. Both are attending Carnegie Mellon University, and we’re thrilled to have their talents in the studio.
Tamuna Cherkezishvili

Home Country: Georgia
Studying: Master of Urban Design at Carnegie Mellon University
With a background in architecture from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in Georgia and experience spanning residential, commercial, and community-focused projects—including planning work in the historic resort town of Borjomi—Tamuna brings a deep passion for sustainable, community-centered design. Currently pursuing her Master of Urban Design at Carnegie Mellon University, she is eager to explore how governance, policy, and culture shape urban spaces, strengthen her design skills, and learn firsthand how collaborative processes can lead to resilient, meaningful outcomes.
Sushruti Santhanakrishnan

Home Country: India
Studying: Master of Urban Design at Carnegie Mellon University
Guided by empathy and her own lived experiences, Sushruti is passionate about designing resilient, inclusive cities that elevate community voices and address the pressing challenges of urbanization. With a focus on how thoughtful, research-driven design can reduce environmental risks and enrich social spaces, she emphasizes sustainability and safety tailored to local contexts. At evolveEA, she looks forward to exploring how multidisciplinary teams bring large-scale, ecologically responsive projects to life—and what it truly means to design with and for people.
