Mae Catino
LEED GA, EcoDistricts AP, WELL AP
Growing up in rural Pennsylvania and globe-trotting in their early 20s instilled in Mae a deep respect for earth’s systems and its diverse peoples. Currently, they enjoy integrating these planetary and interpersonal appreciations by translating building and behavioral science into user-friendly communications. As evolveEA’s Community Engagement Specialist, Mae brings strategies to elevate stakeholder visioning and participation to projects like the Etna EcoDistrict Plan, and supports evolveEA’s project managers in material deliverables and data collection. They also contribute to the firm’s blog and evolve insights newsletter and manage our greenhouse gas inventory.
Prior to joining evolveEA, Mae was a Sustainability Fellow with the Student Conservation Association where they worked at PennFuture on residential energy conservation, and at Homewood Children’s Village where they were introduced to the ecodistricts framework. Their engineering background informs their approach to energy efficiency and systems at a variety of scales. Mae is a LEED Green Associate, EcoDistricts AP, WELL AP, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Engineering Studies and German from Lafayette College.
