Renewing Our B Corp Commitment

Building a sustainable and equitable future takes patience, persistence, and perspective. At evolveEA, we view each B Corp recertification as a chance to reflect, measure, and renew our commitment to positive impact. In 2025, we’re proud to continue that journey with our latest recertification.

When evolveEA became a Certified B Corporation in 2013, we were among the first in our region to adopt the framework. For us, the decision was natural: our foundations were in sustainability rating systems like LEED, Energy Star, and the Living Building Challenge, and we knew that applying a reporting framework to our own operations would help us stay true to our mission while tracking our impact. Just as importantly, it provides a structure for growth. In the last twelve years, our team has nearly tripled in size, our work has expanded across the country, and even as we moved to a larger office last year, we remain carbon neutral in our operations.

Over that same period, we’ve partnered with clients and communities to achieve measurable outcomes:

Our team has helped certify more than 15 million square feet of LEED projects, saving over $4 billion in energy costs for our clients, while engaging thousands of people in planning and design processes for neighborhoods, parks, and public places.

The impact demonstrates how design can deliver environmental performance, economic benefit, and social equity at once.

The B Corp movement has also grown dramatically: now more than 10,000 companies and over a million workers worldwide are part of a community proving that business can be a force for good. For evolveEA, recertification is both a milestone and a recommitment — to our team, to our clients, and to the communities we serve.

We encourage our peers and partners to explore the B Impact Assessment, whether or not certification is the goal. It’s a powerful tool for understanding, benchmarking, and improving the impact of any organization. We’ve found it invaluable, and we’re proud to continue as part of the global B Corp community.
