Moyin Okulate
Moyin believes the practice of care through culturally and ecologically responsive design is vital for people and the natural environment. As a cross-disciplinary designer who connects the building and urban scales at evolveEA, Moyin focuses her expertise on systems for adaptive strategies in safety, climate resilience, energy efficiency and contextual design. She works on projects ranging from the design of urban infrastructure facilities to renovations for religious institutions, as well as residential, commercial and industrial projects, and at the urban scale she works on planning, mobility and landscape projects.
Moyin received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of the District of Columbia where she studied under practicing architects and learned urban design principles. She then earned her Masters of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University pursuing experimental sustainable design projects and completing a thesis titled “Ethnofuturism: Challenging Cultural Genocide and Colonial Borders in West African Architecture”.
