Meghna Roy LEED GA
The ephemeral nature of design has always been intriguing to Meghna, who believes successful placemaking lies in environmental strategies with positive triple bottom line implications. She highlights the significance of natural flows like energy and water in the built environment, and works with tools for building performance simulation, image depth mapping and analytical visualizations to unite sustainability and architecture. As a Building Performance Analyst at evolveEA, Meghna contributes to project certifications like LEED and WELL and supports architecture, urban design, and climate action planning projects at a variety of scales.
Meghna has worked on decarbonisation strategies for campuses like the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and New York University. As an architect, she was involved with institutional buildings like schools and hospitals along with phased master plan developments which involved a collaborative process between clients, architects and engineers. Meghna also has experience with design analytics and LEED quantifications, as well as adaptive solutions for coastal landscapes. She has worked as a teaching assistant for computational design and environment-related courses with a focus on collaboration. Her curiosity stems from her interest in traveling, documentaries and her ever-changing hobbies ranging from bouldering to painting. Meghna holds a Bachelors in Architecture from Jadavpur University, India, and a Masters of Science in Sustainable Design from Carnegie Mellon University, and she is a LEED Green Associate.
