Laura is dedicated to advancing architecture through performance-driven analysis and sustainable design strategies that enhance building resilience, efficiency, and adaptability. As a Building Performance Analyst at evolveEA, she plays a key role in guiding projects through the LEED certification process, ensuring compliance with sustainability standards for both new construction and renovations. She specializes in reviewing design and construction documentation, developing LEED credits, and conducting in-depth analyses to support project teams in achieving high-performance building outcomes.

With a background in architectural design, Laura integrates sustainability into traditional processes, leveraging innovations to address climate challenges, optimize daylighting and energy performance, and embed sustainability at every stage of design. She began her career working on residential and retail projects in Abkhazia before pursuing her passion for humanitarian architecture, volunteering in Houston’s post-Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts.

As a researcher in sustainability, Laura has contributed to projects focused on building performance and urban systems at the Center for Building Performance and Diagnostics. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree and earned a Master of Science in Building Performance & Diagnostics from Carnegie Mellon University, where she received a Master’s Thesis Graduation Award for her research on sustainable surfaces for climate resilience. Laura is a licensed architect in the Republic of Abkhazia, an AIA Associate, and a LEED Green Associate.
