evolveEA's Office Abuzz With New Team Members
The evolve office is buzzing like a hive with new hires and interns this summer! With some exciting projects kicking off in the areas of infrastructure planning and green building consulting, we are welcoming a few new faces. Several months ago, Elijah Hughes joined us as Designer and Systems Analyst. Elijah is primarily working on green water infrastructure and transportation planning projects. More recently, Chris Brown began working at evolve in the Building Rating Systems Manager position, bringing his in-depth experience with green building frameworks such as LEED and Passive House.
This summer also marks our fourth year participating in the Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture UDream program. The award-winning program increases diversity in the fields of architecture and urban design, specifically in the Pittsburgh region, by placing recent graduates with local firms. Some of our past UDream interns have transitioned into long-term positions with us and brought exceptional creativity to our team. We are very pleased to welcome Olivia Freese to our team this year. Olivia recently completed a Master of Architecture degree at Drury University in Missouri, has focused on urban planning and public interest design, and was president of the AIA Student chapter while in school.
We are also collaborating with the Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group (PCRG) on a study to improve our public transit system. PCRG intern, Abhishikta Pal is based in our office for the summer as we work intensively on the project. Abhishikta has a background in architecture and will be completing Master of Urban Design at Carnegie Mellon University  in December 2016.
