Led by Christine Mondor, FAIA of evolveEA, the ecodistrct deep dive will include how the community library became an agent for transformational community change, as well as how the reimagining of the Moose Lodge into a solar-powered food and energy hub exemplifies the next example of neighborhood-scale innovation.
Members of the American Institute of Architects will receive 4 LU CES.

Session 7 – Sustainable Design & Housing Equity for Bozeman’s Missing Middle
Behind the Bridger View Neighborhood project is a compelling story that touches on all objectives of the conference (Resilience, Housing, Transportation, Equity, and Replicability). Bridger View is a compact neighborhood of 62 sustainably built homes that is adjacent to Bozeman’s Story Mill Community Park. It sits on 8 acres with shared open spaces and pedestrian connections to the park and local trail systems. Half of the homes at Bridger View will be held in the Headwaters Community Housing Trust, providing permanent home ownership opportunities for middle-income Bozeman residents. This unique neighborhood addresses housing inequity, creates a connected and compact neighborhood, and promotes sustainable building practices. While many projects strive to address environmental concerns, housing inequity, or challenge the traditional development practices, Bridger View achieves all three, providing solutions to systemic issues and serving as a model for future development.
Presented by Ben Lloyd, AIA, LEED AP, Principal, Hennebery Eddy Architects; Christine Mondor, FAIA, LEED AP, EcoDistricts AP, Principal, evolveEA; Kelly Olinger, Member, Headwaters Community Trust Board/Adj. Professor of Architecture, Montana State University

The Architecture Media Politics Society (AMPS) annual conference this year focuses on (IN)TANGIBLE HERITAGE(S).
Picking up strands of art, architecture, design and socio-cultural debates found throughout the twentieth century (and before) this conference welcomes reconsiderations of ‘heritage’ as both a tangible and an intangible concept. It seeks perspectives from design, architecture, cultural theory, social history, technology and the arts. It seeks to overlay our notions of the digital, on ideas of heritage and concepts of physicality and the present.
The conference will take place both in-person at the University of Kent in Canterbury, UK and online June 15-17, 2022. For more information and to register, visit the conference website.

EDI Resolutions in Action—Bolstering Minority Pipelines & Underserved Communities
Join Marc Mondor, AIA, Principal of evolveEA, and Erica Cochran Hameen, Assoc. AIA, NOMA, LEED AP, Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at Carnegie Mellon University as they talk about Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the American Institute of Architects annual conference in June 2022.
Consider that candidates from disadvantaged communities represent a rich talent pool that can enhance the breadth of experience in your firm. Similarly, underserved communities of color are typically bypassed in development scenarios that could yield triple-bottom-line returns. New AIA resolutions have been developed to address these issues. Join us as we review Pittsburgh’s UDream program and urban factors to make the case for involvement and participation.
Earn 1.00 LU/RIBA by attending this session (Program Code: WE203)
The A’22 conference is taking place on June 22-25, 2022 in Chicago, IL and you can register for the event here.
