What’s the common thread between neighborhood development, international development, curriculum, and green book-keeping? What/who else but Eileen Kraus-Dobratz, our jack-of-all trades and new grandparent, whose mother (in heaven) still wonders what the heck she is up to. Eileen coordinates finances, contracts, travel and more for evolve, and has also helped the company publish our Just label and renew our B Corp certification.
Besides working at evolve, she is Treasurer of Building New Hope, a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit organization that runs schools, a library and a veterinary clinic in Nicaragua, and sells gourmet organic Nicaragua coffee from a worker-owned cooperative. She has worked as Finance Manager for Friendship Development Associates, a local development organization responsible for starting the gallery-crawl “Unblurred” nights on Penn Avenue. Eileen currently works part-time at the Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation, which is a local community development organization. Co-founder of the former Global Connections Pittsburgh, she has continuing interests in international education and greatly enjoys international visitors.
