Sarine believes her role as an urban designer and planner is to listen to people and understand their needs in order to make cities healthier places for people to live. Her background includes designing apartment building renovation and educational projects in Beirut, planning communal infrastructure and authoring streetscape design guidelines for the Municipality of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Sarine’s work at evolveEA addresses design at different scales, including planning for public transit systems and station areas. Whether in the Middle East or the US, Sarine frequently works in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and believes that each city, community, and team brings its unique blend of values, knowledge, and input.

Sarine has been involved in local grassroots movements in Lebanon, helping make cities more accessible, equitable, and sustainable places for all. She is a member of the Urban Planners Association at the Order of Engineers and Architects in Beirut. Sarine received her Master of Urban Design from the University of Colorado – Denver as a Fulbright Scholar, holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the American University of Beirut, and is a LEED Green Associate.
