2019 CICEA Fall Green Building Workshop
October 24 | 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
The Construction Industry Continuing Education Alliance (CICEA) is hosting a Green Construction Education Seminar this October in Rossford, Ohio. This one-day workshop will help architects, designers, general contractors, builders, and building supply representatives apply the concepts of WELL Buildings to the built environment.
WELL buildings grew out of the need to correct the idea of “sick” building syndrome that developed when buildings become completely sealed. Through presentations, discussions, activities, and trainings, participants will learn how the WELL Buildings concept is taking hold in the design and construction industry and how it is changing the way we look at building design and construction.
Our Marc Mondor (AIA, LEED Fellow, USGBC Faculty, WELL AP) will be presenting with Mark Kilpeck (CHC) Senior Project Manager with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. They will speak about their experience designing and constructing the Cleveland Clinic for Functional Medicine, a building that was created using WELL Buildings concepts.
Conference attendees are approved for 8 AIA Learning Units in Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW). Registration opens on September 9. Early Bird tickets are available for $85 until October 18, after which the price increases to $110.
