D.J. Bryant

D.J. is a SEED (Social Economic and Environmental Design) certified architectural designer and project manager who believes in the transformational power of architecture to create thoughtful interventions in the built & natural environment. As a designer, D.J. routinely adapts to varying project needs and work-flows by deploying multidisciplinary skill sets. As a project manager, D.J. strives to ensure a highly collaborative and open design process in which productive friction among the project team is utilized in order to question assumptions and produce a design response that transcends the project brief. 

D.J. has over ten years of experience with a broad array of project types at varying scales and levels of complexity, as well as varying geographic locations locally, nationally and internationally. He previously worked at Perkins + Will in Atlanta, working on hospitals and medical campuses in Saudi Arabia and Qatar as well as Arkansas and North Carolina. After moving to Pittsburgh, D.J. began working at AE7 initially on international projects as well as local projects within the Pittsburgh area. At evolveEA, D.J. works on urban infrastructure projects for clients like the Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority and he is part of a creative team designing custom bus shelters for the Hazelwood Green riverfront development in Pittsburgh. D.J. has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Southern Polytechnic State University.  D.J. has interned at the Truly Living Well Center for Natural Urban Agriculture in Atlanta where he received an Urban Agriculture Certificate, and he has Human-Centered Design Practitioner Certification from the LUMA Institute.
