Claudia believes in the power of landscape to connect people to place and the environment, to make us better global stewards. Her work focuses on the intersections of design, policy, strategy, and implementation. At evolveEA, Claudia contributes to design and planning projects with sustainable site design and green infrastructure, including the City of Buffalo’s Green Infrastructure Opportunity Report and Pittsburgh’s Four Mile Run Stormwater Improvement Project. Claudia is able to bring her experience in environmental law and policy to her planning and design projects. As a landscape architect, Claudia has worked on award-winning public space, planning and green infrastructure projects, including a multi-million dollar riverfront park in the heart of Pittsburgh and the Cathedral Campus project in Wheeling West Virginia, as well as the Lawrenceville Icehouse Studios Courtyard. Leveraging her experience in the non-profit sector, she also helps environmental non-profits with strategic planning so that they may maximize their impact.

Claudia’s background includes work in the Washington DC environmental non-profit sector. She directed international programs aimed at sustainable resource management, economic policy, environmental protection, and conservation at the World Wildlife Fund and the Center for International Environmental Law. Outside the workplace, Claudia occasionally performs improv comedy, lawn bowls, dabbles in photography, and experiments in her garden. She also previously served on the board of Grow Pittsburgh. Claudia received her Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia, a JD law degree and MA in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Michigan, and a BA in history from Oberlin College.  She is a Registered Landscape Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional.
