Abhishek Patel

Abhishek Patel joins evolveEA this summer while completing his Master of Urban Design at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Originally from Mumbai, India, his design philosophy is rooted in a deep appreciation for the history, culture, and context of place. Abhishek seeks to understand the stories, patterns, and characteristics that make a community unique and use those insights to strengthen the public realm. He views public spaces as essential social infrastructure: places that support everyday interactions, celebrate local identity, and improve quality of life.

Drawing from his background in architecture, urban design, and real estate development, Abhishek is particularly interested in how thoughtful design can connect people to nature, create memorable civic experiences, and enhance the livability of cities. His work is guided by the belief that great public spaces are not just designed, but, shaped around people’s needs, behaviors, and aspirations.

For Abhishek, successful urban design begins and ends with people. He believes the most meaningful places foster a genuine sense of belonging, creating environments where diverse users feel welcomed, comfortable, and connected to their surroundings.
